The BYD E3 is equipped with a 136-horsepower AC permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum torque of 180 Nm, and uses a 43.2kWh blade battery with a maximum cruising range of 401 kilometers.

The electric powertrain integrates the drive assembly (motor and transmission), motor controller, PDU (power distribution unit), DC-DC, OBC, VCU, BMS.
